Passage: Isaiah 40:8

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever."

Romans 11:36 For everything comes from him; everything exists by his power and is intended for his glory. To him be glory evermore. Amen.

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied, " 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' [38] This is the first and greatest commandment. [39] A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' [40] All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."

John 15:21 The people of the world will hate you because you belong to me, for they don't know God who sent me.

Luke 16:13-14 "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." [14] The Pharisees, who dearly loved their money, naturally scoffed at all this.

John 3:19-21 Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. [20] They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. [21] But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants."

John 12:43 When push came to shove they cared more for human approval than for God's glory.

Matthew 16:18 Now I say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.

Romans 3:22 We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done.

Ephes. 3:10 God's purpose was to show his wisdom in all its rich variety to all the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms. They will see this when Jews and Gentiles are joined together in his church.

Matthew 6:21 Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.

1 Tim. 1:4 Don't let people waste time in endless speculation over myths and spiritual pedigrees. For these things only cause arguments; they don't help people live a life of faith in God.

1 Tim. 1:5 The purpose of my instruction is that all the Christians there would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and sincere faith.

1 Tim. 1:6 But some teachers have missed this whole point. They have turned away from these things and spend their time arguing and talking foolishness.

1 Cor. 1:10 Now, dear brothers and sisters, I appeal to you by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so there won't be divisions in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

John 17:21-26 [21] My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father—that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.

Romans 16:17 And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people's faith by teaching things that are contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. Titus 3:10 If anyone is causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with that person.
