Meet Our Passionate Pastoral Team
Senior Pastor Roderick Zak has spent over two decades devoted to teaching and guiding this generation in the Christian faith. Together with his wife, Vanessa, the Zaks have raised a strong, God-driven family with four children and three grandchildren. They are dedicated to strengthening families in our church and building better connections between generations with God’s principles at the core.
Rejoice in Our Sunday Services
Join us every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. as we worship, pray, and learn about the Word of God together, with teachings that are relevant and engaging for all ages.
Making a Difference Through Community Involvement: Need to Read (N2R)
At Rejoice in the Lord Ministries, we believe that faith without action is incomplete. Our partnership with Need to Read (N2R) enables us to provide resources and education to improve literacy in children living in underserved communities. Through local events and book giveaways, we demonstrate our commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Our Journey: A Brief History of Rejoice in the Lord Ministries
Welcome to Rejoice in the Lord Ministries – a vibrant, God-centered church located in the heart of Central Florida. Since our founding on March 21st, 2004, our purpose has been to spread the love of Jesus and share a message of hope with our local community. Led by our dedicated co-founders, Pastor Roderick and Sis. Vanessa Zak, who have served in pastoral ministry for over two decades, we continue to honor God’s call for our lives.
In choosing a name for our ministry, we prayerfully considered numerous biblically-inspired names. In a moment of inspiration, Sis. Vanessa Zak was blessed with the name, “Rejoice in the Lord Ministries.” As our founders eagerly embraced God’s will, five families joined them in generously supporting our launch. On opening day, 475 charter partners gathered at the Plaza Theatre in downtown Orlando, embarking on an exciting new adventure together.
For the first five years, Rejoice held its services at the Plaza Theatre. There, we engaged in meaningful worship services, inspiring Bible studies, and transformative outreach projects, nurturing spiritual growth within our blossoming congregation.
With nearly 20 years since our founding, Rejoice has become a beacon of inspiration in Central Florida, serving over 2500 members and counting. Our devotion lies in helping our community draw closer to God through impactful worship services, encouraging Bible studies, transformative outreach projects, and various events that cater to all age groups, including young families, youth, and children.
In 2009, we achieved a remarkable milestone by constructing a grand 1100-seat auditorium on our grounds. This multi-purpose space hosts weddings, concerts, and our own Sunday services. Additionally, we built a smaller auditorium that comfortably accommodates 250 individuals, specially designed for our children’s ministry.
We wholeheartedly invite you to join us on this joyous journey as we spread God’s love and share hope throughout Central Florida.
